why.

I watched my children run up an down hills. Do they do it to loose weigh? Do they do it to win? Do they do it to keep in shape? They do it because it's fun. Today I ran like a child.

Who the hell is Percy Warner?

I don't know or care but I am thankful for his existence and his trails particularly his White and his red ones. That said I don't care too much for his steps. 8.4 miles.

'Parks-Life' (or 'This was my second run with Parkin and also my second run in a hat...coincidence???')

Img_0001

...and we are back in the room.

It has been a week since my last run. I have been craving the taste of tarmac. I have been bobbing and weaving so as not to get too run down, thus avoiding the cold/zombie plague which has waylaid certain members of my household.

The sun shone brightly, the air was crisp and cool, I had my padawan Parkin out with me - for what is becoming a semi-regular Saturday morning thing.

In the end we covered 11.5K, which for some of us was quite the distance to travel, and on a sneaky new route which I 'imagineered' as we ran.

The dogs on the seafront say hello.

another 5k another thought.

if modern thinking is correct and the biblical book of genesis is a poem rather that a factual story, then the tree of knowledge is not an actual tree but something else...

what then is the tree of knowledge? would i directly eat from it if i could? Or, was it a one time thing, once the door was opened everything changed forever.

I am exhausted

An excuse a day for not running

  1. My kit is still dirty and I've already worn it twice already
  2. I'm too tired/stressed/lazy after work
  3. I'm too rushed/tired/lazy before work
  4. It's really windy out there and I can't find a good hat
  5. It's Wednesday and I'll bump into that OTHER running club I try and avoid
  6. I've only got time for a short run...so I'll wait until tomorrow
  7. My good lady has Yoga so I've got to pick her up

So...

I would go today but I'm very No.2 (although tomorrow is No.5) so I might wait till Thursday - in which case let's hope I don't get a case of the No.7's.
