I have been one acquainted with the night
I have run out in rain -- and back in rain. I have outrun the furthest city light.I have run down the saddest city lane. I have run past the dogs on their walk And dropped my eyes, unwilling to be exclaim.I have stood still and stopped the pain of feet When far away an interrupted cry Came over houses from another street,But I ran on and did not look back or ask why; And further still at an unearthly height, A luminary lighthouse set against the skyProclaimed that this run was neither wrong nor right. I have been one acquainted with the night. Pier 9.3k (With apologies to the genius of Robert Frost.) |

Running out
Running out of options, time, money and hope, but at least I am still running. Usual 6.
